Work - at - Home Moms
Application
It has been placed on my heart
to write a book about work-at-home moms, and I would like to
enlist 11 other women to walk on this journey with me.
Until you have been approved to be one of the 11 other women
to walk on this journey, I cannot give you the full details,
as they are at this time confidential. I promise you
this though, it will be an amazing journey, and at the end
of this, you will have a group of women who will be your
advocates, supporters, and most of all your friends.
As well, as you will get a lot of shameless
promoting. My ultimate goal is Oprah :)
I can tell you that we will be talking
a lot about our experiences as work-at-home moms. We
will meet once a week for 1 - 1/2 hours lives via voice
computer chat room, as well as hold text chats via a chat
group like Yahoo or something similar to discuss additional
topics, or just to have friendly conversation.
If you want to join this journey,
please fill out the application below. Applications
will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
If you qualify, you will be contacted with all of the
details. Please note, we will be accepting at the
most, 2 people from each business type, with the goal of
really having only 1 from each type of business. This
is so your shameless promoting will not conflict with
other's shameless promotion.
To qualify you must fit the
following criteria:
-
Work from home
a minimum of 30 hours/week.
(You do not have to own the business
that you are working for, but you must
meet the minimum hours, and you must
complete your work at home.)
-
Have children or
have had children at home while you work
the minimum number of hours.
(If your children are no longer at home,
but you worked while they were at home,
you still may qualify! We will
look to you for your expertise on
survival!)
-
You must have
started your business be the
sole-caregiver to your children.
Meaning, you did not have a nanny, have
them in childcare, or have their father
home full-time caring for them.
(If you have this in place now, you may
still qualify, as long as when you
originally started your business, you
started it while also caring for them
full-time.)
-
You must be able to
make the scheduled meeting times listed
in the application below. (One
planned absence is okay,
but more than that, and it can detract
from your contribution to the group.)
-
You need to have a
microphone and earpiece that works with
your computer. I got a very
inexpensive one at Walmart that works as
a headset. We will be having our
conversations via a tool on our computer
where we talk live with one another.
This will help eliminate the cost of
long distance calls.
-
We will also be
using a private chat group to
communicate during the week, so you must
have an email address and high speed
internet connection (high-speed is
crucial to our live discussions).
-
You will need to agree to keep
everything we talk about confidential,
as well as the details of the book
confidential.
-
You will also need to sign a release
that everything we talk about is the
property of Patty Benton, and you give
her permission to use anything said via
our live talks or our email chats in the
book.
-
You will also need to agree to allow her
to use your first name and state in the
book. Including last names will be
up to each individual.
-
You will also need to agree that you
will not write a book on a similar topic
for a minimum of 1 year after the
publication of this book.
Thank you, and I look forward to
getting to know you and creating an amazing journey
together!
IMPORTANT: In order to qualify
for this unique opportunity, you must complete each field.
Failure to complete each question fully, may result in your
application being disqualified. Thank you!
Upon receipt of your application, if
you qualify, I will set up a time to talk with you. If
someone in your industry has already qualified, I will put
you on the wait list, and if they are not able to fulfill
the commitment, I will contact in order of applications
received. You WILL be notified of your status, whether
you qualify, are on the wait list, or do not qualify.
Thank you, I am excited about this journey and the
friendships that we will forge!

Coach and Program Director-Patty Benton, BA, Certified Life Coach
Patty first
decided to go into coaching and establish a program that was affordable to
all VAs who desired a coach to help establish their practice. She
learned early on that the majority of coaching programs were not
affordable to the VA on a tight budget. All of Patty's knowledge has come from
her prior work experience and the trial and error of starting her
business. Her passion is to help other's who have the desire to own
their own business, but do not know how to go about getting started.

"I wish I'd had this book when starting my business! I have read
many books on the topic of starting a Virtual Assistant business
over the years and can honestly say "Failure Is Not An Option" is
the most comprehensive handbook I've seen. Patty walks you through
every aspect of setting up and starting your VA business, including
examples and templates of important forms and documents. Throughout
the book, concrete examples make it easier to adapt the advice to
your own situation. If you set up your business as you work through
the book, you will have a solid business model and a jump-start on
landing your first client by the end. If you're serious about
starting a Virtual Assistant business, you need to get this book!
It's an investment you won't regret."
