Failure is NOT an Option!
Guide to setting up your Virtual Assistance
practice SUCCESSFULLY
by Patty Benton
Looking to set up your virtual
assistance practice but you aren't really sure where to start?
"I was quite impressed with the level of detail in this book. It
was far more than I expected. I have already been disappointed with
many e-book purchases over the course of the last couple of months
and I had actually given up. The links you offered were very
informative. I found myself clicking on each one and using many of
the resources you listed. It is the perfect resource for anyone
starting out as a Virtual Assistant."
Marta Costa, Va-4-Hire,

Patty Benton's "Failure is NOT an Option! A

Have you been wanting to set
up your own virtual assistance practice, but don't know where to
start?
Patty Benton shares her experience in setting up a
virtual assistance business in this no nonsense, no fluff, direct e-book.
She guides you through the
steps of getting your virtual assistance business set-up
successfully. Depending on your time and commitment, you can have
your VA business set-up and ready to go in a couple of weeks or a
couple of months.
"I think a huge benefit of this book that you are walking them
thru the steps and showing examples along the way. That is a HUGE
relief to the new VA's coming in. I know that as a fairly new VA, if
I had had that help, I would have gotten started soo much sooner."
Rebecca L. Thompson,

Not sure if being a virtual
assistant is for you?
Find out in the first chapter if this is the
career choice for you. There are many "at-home" businesses that
are available to work. Many of them not as tough to
establish as the virtual assistance business to establish. Many
not as rewarding either. Each individual must decide for
themselves if this is a journey that will be rewarding and fulfilling
for them. Patty helps you to decide if this is the journey you
want to embark on and then she helps walks you through the process of
establishing you business step by step.
"Patty Benton walks the talk. She knows how those of us setting up
a VA business feel and teaches the reader how to develop their VA
business while keeping a positive attitude when things don’t go
quite the way you expected. Her book, Failure is NOT an Option!, is
full of hand holding and great advise on how to begin the process to
setting up a successful VA business. This book is a definite must
for all new virtual assistants and could turn into their favorite
handbook of rules for success."

9:
Skill Building
Continually building your skills is so
important!!! In any profession, there is a need for continually
educating yourself to get raises and promotions. This is the same and
even more important for your virtual assistance business. The world
is changing so fast with the growth of technology, and we are truly
on the cutting edge. We need to be aware of what is happening with
current technology so we can help our clients make the right
decisions for their business. We also want to make ourselves
knowledgeable so our clients know they can count on us for any
project. How do we do this? Subscribe to business and technology
newsletters. They carry information that will keep you current. Take
classes at your local college or online. There are many virtual
assistant schools that provide training. They are wonderful programs
that help assist you in the right direction, if this is what you
choose. My favorite resource is Hewlett Packard’s Free Online
courses. They are absolutely fabulous and have such a variety. Here
is the link to check out these courses,
http://h30187.www3.hp.com/,
and yes, they are absolutely FREE! Also, the SBA has a free online
training program for setting up your business
http://app1.sba.gov/survey/training_workshops/ .
This section is just a small example of the
valuable information you will receive. "Failure is NOT an
Option! A guide to setting up your Virtual Assistance practice
SUCCESSFULLY" is packed with resources and valuable
information to make sure you get started successfully!
"Congratulations Patty, As a newbie this book is a wealth of
information. I had been searching the internet for help with writing
my business plan, now thanks to you it is almost complete. I really
appreciated all of the internet links as well as these are very
helpful when you are just starting. I am also in the process of
setting my schedule to fit in with my current job, my new business,
my family time and most importantly my ME time. Thanks Marie Lally,

Note from Patty Benton,
author of "Failure is NOT an Option! A guide to setting up your
Virtual Assistance practice SUCCESSFULLY" :
I am not a fluff type person. I don't like
long sales pages and I don't like to read books filled with a bunch
of unnecessary words. I like to get to the point. I have
written this book in my style. I take you step by step in
setting up your business, without filling it in with pretty words or
unnecessary information. I value your time and understand that you want to get
your business going and don't want to spend time reading
unnecessary information. I am also very honest in the trials or
bumps you may come across in establishing your business. This
is not a get rich quick business but something that takes long term
commitment. So that you know you are not alone, I share the
trials of other virtual assistants in getting their businesses
established throughout the e-book. We all faced trials in
getting started, and it was persistence that helped us overcome the
hurdles to become successful. You will run into trials in
establishing your business, but that will make you stronger and
better able to handle the day to day operations of your business.
My hope and goal is that by using this book, you
will get a successful jumpstart on running your business and that it
will help give you the knowledge you need to get over the hurdles
that come up in every business. I use this e-book in my
coaching program with my students. Visit

further questions on this book, please feel free to .
Good luck in your future business endeavors!

"Failure Is Not An Option" is a very helpful guide to starting up a
Virtual Assistant service. It is well written, entertaining and easy
to read and comprehend. Being relatively new to the VA industry I
learned a lot of great tips that actually helped my productivity. I
also utilized the 30-second elevator speech suggestion at a social
networking function that ultimately led to a new client, increasing
my monthly revenue by 18%. I highly recommend "Failure Is Not An
Option". Kate Kelly ExecAssist, LLC

“I have been working online in my home-based business for 8 years
yet I still found Patty Benton’s e-book Failure is Not an Option
packed with vital information and time saving and efficiency tips –
a key area of weakness for me that Patty’s advice has helped to
tame. This e-book is so positive and supportive while not glossing
over the hard work and commitment needed to start and grow a
successful VA or online service business. With this e-book in hand,
many more first time VAs will achieve success.”

"Failure is NOT an Option! by Patty Benton is a breath of fresh air
for anyone who may be hyperventilating over all the details of
starting a VA business. Patty has a simple, common sense approach to
business start-up strategies. Who knew that the dreaded business
plan could be as simple as setting a few strategic goals? Patty
offers terrific resource recommendations and shares personal
insights into methods and tools that work for her and other
experienced VAs. As a new VA I have been bogged down in over
preparing and under achieving. After reading Failure is NOT an
Option! I have a much clearer picture of what I must do immediately,
what I need to do soon, and what I should do as my business grows.
This is a well organized handbook that I intend to keep at my
fingertips."
Karen Cole, MBA, Aveon Business Services,

"Patty Benton’s e-book “Failure is NOT an Option” is an absolutely
awesome resource for those starting out as Virtual Assistants. Patty
clearly and concisely spells out everything you need to know; from
the most basic start-up requirements through to more advanced
information required to market and grow your business. I found the
Sections on establishing Business Procedures, your Business Plan and
Marketing to be particularly excellent and useful. If you have
finances only to buy once resource when setting up your VA Business,
you couldn’t go wrong in spending your money on Patty’s book. It
truly is a fantastic all-around resource."
Fiona Davidson, Swift Online Secretarial,

"Patty’s book is all fact, no fluff. If you are just starting out

its way to success!”

"I decided to purchase Patty's book "Failure is NOT an Option" after
reading all of the topics that would be covered. I have been in
administration for close to 20 years and started my VA business
about 8 months ago. Patty, all I can say is, THANK YOU, THANK YOU,
THANK YOU. Actually, I can't thank you enough. Your's is the first
"manual" I have found that goes through every aspect of the Virtual
Assistant business (with references and links). I also appreciate
you for making your resource so affordable, especially for those
just starting out. I have been operating pretty successfully over
the past several months, but with the information I learned from
your book, I feel even more confident in the career choice I have
made. Thank you again for such an amazing resource."

“Failure is NOT an Option! is in a word awesome! Not only is it a
great step-by-step guide for a new Virtual Assistant, but

aspiring and established Virtual Assistants.”

"I am emailing you to let you know that your e-book has helped me
tremendously. I read the entire book in two sittings and am now
going back through it step by step. It has inspired me and given me
the confidence that I CAN achieve my goal of being a VA."
